We can do it!
Famine For Haiti
Dr. G.J. MacGillivray Public School in Courtice held a 24 hour famine to support the Haitian earthquake victims. It was a fantastic experience for both teachers and students. The students had the opportunity to discuss their feelings of hunger and they also learned how important it is to support other families in need. It was definitely a community building experience. They raised upwards of $2000 being donated to the Canadian Red Cross!
