Doors Open Clarington
In its first year, Doors Open Clarington had an impressive array of historically significant attractions open to the public. Included in the locations, from Bowmanville, Newcastle, Orono and Tyrone, was the popular POW Camp 30, Masonic Hall, Wilmot Creek Fish Hatchery & Tyrone Mill to name a few. The variety of sites provided something for everyone to see and the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable volunteers about the local historical heritage sites of the region.
